Housing Data Mixed In August

Building permits and housing starts registered small increases in August over July, but the YTY figures were way down according to today’s U.S. Commerce Dept. report.

Integrated Electrical Services Inks Deal with LED/Solar Vendor

Visible Light Solar Technologies, a solar and LED lighting technology innovator based in Albuquerque, N.M., today announced it has formed a strategic alliance with the nation’s second largest electrical contractor, Integrated Electrical Services (NASDAQ: IESC) for national installation and maintenance of its solar/LED and LED lighting solutions to businesses, municipalities and educational facilities. As part of the agreement, Visible Light Solar will utilize IES’s vast network of professional electricians and technicians to help customers dramatically reduce their lighting energy expenses, maintenance costs and carbon footprint.

Rennick named E-Mon V.P. of government sales

rennickemon200.jpgE-Mon Corp. (Langhorne, Pa.): LANGHORNE, PA – Christopher Rennick is the company’s new vice president of government sales. He will work extensively in Washington, D.C. and around the country to develop and implement E-Mon’s government sales strategy by identifying sales opportunities, negotiating contracts, reviewing regulatory issues and spearheading key registrations. Before joining E-Mon, Rennick’s efforts as government manager of U.S. sales for Eaton Corp. resulted in more than 30 percent growth of the company’s Powerware line in the federal sector. His prior sales management responsibilities at American Power Conversion resulted in key growth of their UPS and data center cooling solutions, and included inside government account management for the US House of Representatives, the Department of Energy and other clients. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and finance from the University of Rhode Island.
