Sea Gull Lighting Makes Executive Appointments

Sea Gull Lighting (Riverside, N.J.): Spencer Bolgard, currently V.P. of sales, will assume the additional responsibility of overseeing the company’s marketing department, which includes the Sea Gull Lighting and Monte Carlo brands. Bolgard has been with Sea Gull Lighting since 2002 and has served in his current position for five years. In another promotion at the company, John Sena, Northeast regional sales manager and director, will become national sales manager for the Sea Gull Lighting brand.

Eaton teams with Takaoka Electric to develop EV chargers

Eaton Corp. announced that it will collaborate with Takaoka Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Tokyo, to develop and launch DC Quick Chargers, a key component in the charging of electric vehicle (EV) battery packs. The collaboration will enable Eaton to provide a complete line of charging stations across residential, commercial and industrial applications in North America.

Eaton said it’s working to advance the electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Burlington, Ontario, and many other communities across North America. Eaton has some expertise in other markets that use free-standing electrical charging, including truck-stop electrification, ports, marinas, recreational vehicles, government and major public-sector infrastructure.

Takaoka Electric manufactures and sells electrical equipment primarily to the Japanese market. The company offers power transformers (gas-insulated and oil-immersed), on-load tap changing transformers (gas-insulated and oil-immersed), distribution transformers, mobile transformers and mold-type transformers as well as switchgear and gas circuit breakers.

Chloride Group plc, a British-based UPS manufacturer, rebuffed a buyout offer by Emerson Electric, St.Louis. Emerson believes the combination of Emerson and Chloride would create a powerful force in the global uninterruptible power supply (UPS”) market. Details

Albuquerque’s National Electric Appoints Renewable Energy Specialist

National Electric (Albuquerque): David Durbin a 14-year company veteran, is now the company’s renewable energy specialist. He is also close to completing his NABCEP certification for renewable energy design from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). With the recent addition of its renewable energy division, National Electric now offers design, estimating and technical support to help provide renewable energy solutions for its customers and their clients. Durbin will work one-on-one with customers at each step in the system design and pricing process and will assist with on-site surveys to help determine the best solutions for each energy system as well as provide information and package pricing on products that meet each project’s unique requirements.

Gray Joins Michigan’s Standard Electric

A Michigan native, Gray over 15 years of related industry experience, including nine years at General Electric.
