Rochford named V.P., Energy Efficiency, Sustainability and Public Policy for Legrand North America

Legrand, West Hartford, Conn., announced the appointment of Susan Rochford as vice president, Energy Efficiency, Sustainability and Public Policy, for Legrand North America. Rochford will be responsible for advancing Legrand North America’s progress in setting and achieving sustainability goals and commitments, as an organization and in the marketplace. In this capacity she will work closely with all the Legrand North America entities to identify, design and deliver sustainable products and solutions to meet the needs of the customers they serve.

Leviton appoints Carrella and Weinberg to Marketing Posts

Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc (Melville, N.Y.): The company recently announced two appointments: Chris Carrella is now director of technology for distribution marketing and sales and Jeffrey Weinberg is Southwest Regional Sales Manager for the company’s Lighting Management Systems. In his new role, Carrella will lead the implementation of cost-effective technology solutions to support Leviton’s customer-centric marketing and sales initiatives. In He has held various previous IT positions at at the company. Before joining Leviton, he held a variety of positions in the information technology field with Cablevision, Publishers Clearing House and Chase Auto Finance. He holds a BA in business administration from C.W. Post College.

In his new post, Jeffrey Weinberg will lead the expansion of the company’s energy-management systems throughout the Pacific Southwest. He began his career with the company in 1997 as a sales representative for American Insulated Wire (AIW), a Leviton subsidiary, and later went on to represent Leviton’s OEM solutions business where he grew lampholder revenue in the hydroponic industry and increase sales of the company’s GFCI devices and wireless lighting and appliance control products. Weinberg holds a BS in communications from the University of Arizona.

Michigan’s Lighting Supply Co. Hires McIntosh as Sales Manager

Lighting Supply Co. (Ferndale, Mich.): Matt McIntosh was recently appointed sales manager and will be responsible for driving the company’s strategic sales growth through value-added services, product expansion and alignment with energy-saving programs that offer incentives for lighting upgrades. Prior to joining Lighting Supply Company, McIntosh spent five years in Branch Sales and Management with Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED). He has a BA degree in sales and business marketing from Western Michigan University.

Hunter Joins Luminus Devices

Luminus Devices Inc. (Billerica, Mass.): Jim Hunter has joined the company as vice president and general manager, global commercial markets. Hunter will be responsible for increasing Luminus’ presence in the general lighting, ultra-violet (UV) and display lighting markets. Hunter joins Luminus from Philips Lighting North America where as vice president of marketing for the company and area marketing officer for Philips North America, Hunter managed a team of 70 marketers split between channel marketing, marketing communications, market intelligence and pricing.

Staco Names Sims as Eastern regional sales manager

Staco Energy Products Co. (Dayton, Ohio): Steve Sims has joined the company as Eastern regional sales manager. Based in the St. Louis area, Sims is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with business partners who promote the company’s power quality products in the eastern region of the US. A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a BS in electrical engineering, Sims has extensive power quality equipment experience and comes to Staco from Chloride Power Solutions.

Sege Tapped as CEO at Echelon Corp.

Echelon Corp. (San Jose, Calif.) (ELON): Ron Sege has been appointed president, CEO and to the company’s board of directors. He most recently served as president, CEO and board member of 3Com Corp. from 2008 through its acquisition by HP. Details

Freitag Joins EYE Lighting as V.P. of Marketing

EYE Lighting International (Mentor, Ohio): Robert Freitag has been appointed V.P. of marketing. He joins EYE from Philips Day-Brite, where he most recently served as product manager for Philips Capri. Prior to his experience with Philips, Freitag also held several marketing positions with Cooper Lighting, including manager for the company’s HID and fiber-optic product lines. Freitag will be responsible for product management, pricing, distribution and market communications for the company.

Cantex Makes Executive Appointments

Cantex Inc. (Fort Worth, Texas): Mark Flanagan is the new director of sales and marketing and Mark Bauer has joined the sales staff as pricing/product manager. Flanagan has 20 years of experience with the company as regional manager and in product development. Bauer will focus will on coordinating pricing nationally with Cantex’s rep network. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Florida State University.

Zajac Takes On New Management Post at General Cable

General Cable (Highland Heights, Ky.): Joe Zajac has been named manager, market development, Professional Broadcast and Commercial AV Products. In this role, Zajac will lead the market and business development efforts for both the Gepco brand and Sheer Wire line of products. He joined Gepco in 1996 and has held the positions of engineering manager, field engineer and operations manager and holds a B.A. in radio/sound from Columbia College.

Eaton Names Boccadoro Sr. VP Sales and Marketing

Eaton Corp., Cleveland, named Steve Boccadoro as its senior vice president of sales and marketing, effective Aug. 15. He joined the company in 1987 from Peat Marwick where he was an audit manager. Since joining Eaton, Boccadoro has held positions of successively greater responsibility in both Canada and the U.S., including controller, plant manager, marketing manager, and, most recently, vice president and general manager – Canada. In his new role, Boccadoro will report to Sandy Cutler, Eaton chairman and chief executive officer, and will be based at Eaton’s world headquarters in Cleveland.

“Steve brings great experience in managing large sales and marketing organizations and working with some of Eaton’s largest channel partners,” Cutler said. “We are looking forward to having Steve join the senior leadership team.”

Boccadoro holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, and is a professional chartered accountant. He succeeds Jeffery M. Krakowiak who has been named vice president and general manager — Canada for its Electrical Sector Americas Region, effective Aug. 15.
