CalConduit Hires Lang as Sales Manager

CalConduit/Calpipe Industries (Downey, Calif.): Michael Lang has been hired as sales manager. He comes to CalConduit from JM Eagle and has more than 10 years of experience in the electrical industry. In his new role Lang will interact with CalConduit’s rep organization to serve the needs of the company’s distributor customers. CalConduit supports electrical distributors’ material needs by providing EMT, rigid and PVC-coated nipples, couplings, elbows, sweeps and specialty bends.

Lighting Science Group Hires Benton as V.P. of Professional Sales

Lighting Science Group Corp., (Satellite Beach, Fla.): Tom Benton has joined the company as V.P. of professional sales. Benton will manage existing commercial and industrial customer accounts, and the pursuit of new accounts. He will report to Ted Russ, Lighting Science Group’s chief business development officer. Prior to joining Lighting Science Group, Benton worked for 14 years at Cooper Industries and was most recently the vice president of marketing for the wiring devices division. Prior to his most recent position at Cooper Industries, he was director of business development for the $1 billion indoor and outdoor lighting division and director of marketing for the company’s industrial, complex environment, outdoor, and modular wiring brands. Benton has an MBA from Emory University and a B.S. in science and marketing from Indiana University.

Border States Names Jahner Branch Manager of Bismark Location

Border States Electric (BSE) (Fargo, N.D.): Aaron Jahner has been named branch manager for BSE’s Bismarck, N.D., location. Jahner began working for BSE in 1999 in the Bismarck branch warehouse. He moved to the Sioux Falls, S.D., branch in 2002 as the warehouse supervisor, and returned to the Bismarck branch in 2004 as warehouse supervisor, quotations specialist and as an industrial control product manager. In 2008, Jahner accepted the position of branch manager in Gillette, Wyo.

Fulham Hires Smith as V.P. of Sales – Renovation Market

Fulham Co. Inc. (Los Angeles): Larry Smith has joined the company as V.P. of Sales – Renovation Market. He brings more than 25 years experience in sales and sales management in the lighting industry. Smith most recently held the position of director of sales at Digital Lumensa, a developer of LED lighting systems. He previously held management positions with Cooper Lighting, Acuity Brands Lighting and Amtech Lighting Services, and was instrumental in establishing two startups in the energy and lighting renovation market.

Generac Hires Urrutia as V.P. of Sales for Latin America

Generac Power Systems, Inc. (GNRC), (Waukesha, Wis.): Saul Urrutia has joined the company as vice president of sales—Latin America, to drive its continued investment in that region. Based in Miami, Fla., Urrutia has extensive sales experience working in Latin America in the backup power generation industry. Prior to joining Generac, he was director of sales for Latin America at SDMO, and had served as territory manager for Latin America at FG Wilson. Urrutia earned a Masters Degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.

Border States Electric Names Rudolf IT Infrastructure Manager

Border States Electric (BSE) (Fargo, N.D.): Kelly Rudolf is now IT infrastructure manager. He joined BSE in 2003 and has held positions as an IT tech, senior network engineer and network Supervisor.

Quanta’s Wilson to Retire as President of Electric Power Division

Quanta Services Inc. (PWR) (Houston): John Wilson, president of the company’s Electric Power Division, will retire from his current position at the end of 2010. He will serve in an advisory capacity to PAR Electrical Contractors, Inc., a subsidiary of Quanta Services. Earl C. “Duke” Austin, Jr., president of Quanta’s Natural Gas and Pipeline Division, will additionally assume the oversight of the company’s Electric Power Division. Austin brings more than two decades of industry experience to this position and represents the fourth generation of family history in the electrical business. Before becoming president of the Natural Gas and Pipeline Division, he served as president of North Houston Pole Line (NHPL), a Quanta Services company.

Legrand’s Bausch promoted to new V.P. post in Northeast

Legrand (West Hartford, Conn.): Scott-Bausch Scott Bausch is now regional V.P. of sales for the Northeast in Legrand’s Electrical Wiring Systems Division. In his new role Bausch will lead the company’s sales teams for electrical wiring products in New England and the northeastern United States. Bausch joined Legrand/Pass & Seymour in 2004 as a product line manager, and he most recently served as the marketing manager for commercial and industrial products and the director of product marketing.He earned his BA from St. John Fisher College and his MBA from Franklin University.

Connexion hires Earl for senior posts

Connexion (Buffalo Grove, Ill.): Brian Earl is now V.P., electrical sales and general manager of Connexion Energy Solutions. In his dual role he will be responsible for growing revenues and margins while expanding Connexion into new markets and geographies. Earl began his career nearly 30 years ago at WESCO and has had sales leadership roles at Bryant, Leviton, and most recently as V.P. of Distribution Sales at Actuant.

Northwire appoints Greg Reese Eastern regional sales manager

Northwire Technical Cable (Osceola, Wis.): Greg Reese is now Eastern regional sales manager. He comes to the company with more than 16 years of experience as a product manager, sales manager and design engineer for cable assembly and electrical connection systems. Most recently Reese was product line sales manager and regional sales manager for a New York-based original equipment manufacturer of harsh-environment electrical connection systems and custom cable assemblies for the industrial/commercial and military/aerospace markets. He has an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BA from Kent State University.
