Legrand/Pass & Seymour Names Bausch Director of Product Marketing

Legrand/Pass & Seymour (Syracuse, N.Y.): Scott Bausch has been named director of product marketing and will lead the company’s commercial and residential product marketing sections. He joined Legrand/Pass & Seymour in 2004 as a product line manager and most recently served as the marketing manager for commercial and industrial products. Bausch earned a B.A. degree from St. John Fisher College and his MBA from Franklin University.

Keller Now COO at MDU Construction Services

Rogers Joins PDI as Director of Business Development

Power Distribution Inc. (PDI) (Richmond, Va.): As the has director of business development, Martin Rogers will lead the development of PDI’s newest product offerings. His extensive experience in international markets and power distribution comes from over 15 years of progressive leadership positions with Schneider Electric. His most recent position was as director of global services and process improvement. Martin will report directly to Dave Mulholland, V.P. of marketing and service, in this newly created position. PDI designs, manufactures and distributes customized electrical equipment under the brand names PDI, Onyx, and Marelco to serve a variety of power markets.

Sol Inc. Appoints Chaguaceda Business Development Manager

Sol Inc. (Palm City, Fla.): This manufacturer of solar lighting products for applications such as area and security lighting, roadways, billboards and transit and shelter lighting has appointed Andy Chaguaceda as its business development manager for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. He brings to Sol 30 years of electrical sales experience, having been previously associated with such companies as Thomas & Betts Utilities and Homac where he held district, regional and international sales positions and has worked with distributors, contractors, factory representatives and engineers in Latin America, the Caribbean and South Florida. He holds an associate’s degree from Ashworth College in Atlanta and will be stationed in Miami to better serve the needs of Sol’s customer base in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

Mayer’s Summerlin Recognized by A-D for Industry Leadership

summerlin-ad.jpgAt this year’s Affiliated Distributors North American Meeting in Dallas, Mayer Electric Supply’s vice chairman, Jim Summerlin, received A-D’s Affiliate of the Year Leadership award. A 41-year industry veteran, Summerlin has been an associate of Mayer Electric Supply since 1975. Before joining Mayer Electric Supply, he was a field sales engineer with a manufacturer. Summerlin is a past-chairman of the National Association of Electrical Distributors; has held several leadership positions with A-D, including serving on its board of directors; and has served on the advisory boards of several electrical manufacturers.

Acuity Brands’ English Wins NEMA Kite & Key Award

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), Rosslyn, Va., named Cheryl English, Acuity Brands Lighting, as one of the winners of its 2009 Kite & Key Award. English is vice president of Market and Industry Development for the Conyers, Ga.-based lighting manufacturer. The Kite & Key Award recognizes individuals who advance the interests of the electrical industry through active and sustained involvement in the affairs of NEMA, an association of electrical and medical-imaging equipment manufacturers.

English, who has served as chair of NEMA’s Lighting Division and has held various leadership positions in its Luminaire Section, was cited by the organization for a number of industry-leading efforts, including her role in a number of areas to define and promote federal energy-efficiency regulations. At Acuity Brands Lighting, English is responsible for market development, energy and sustainability programs, industry and government relations, education, and marketing research. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University and a bachelor of science degree in architectural engineering from the University of Colorado. She is a Fellow of the Illuminating Engineering Society and holds a lighting certification from the National Council on Qualifications of the Lighting Professions.

O’Hara Joins Ericson as North Central Regional Manager

Prior to joining Ericson, Sean spent the last five years with Cablofil-Legrand with a focus on sales and training responsibilities for the Midwest Region. He has more than 20 years of experience within the electrical and construction industry and a B.S. in marketing from Western Illinois University.

Textron promotes Greenlee’s Scott Hall to Industrial Segment President

Scott HallGreenlee, Rockford, Ill., announced today that Scott Hall, who has been serving as president, has been promoted to president of Textron’s Industrial Segment. Textron is Greenlee’s parent company. The promotion was made by new Textron Chief Executive Officer Scott Donnelly as part of his newly-created Executive Leadership Team.

As president of Textron’s Industrial Segment, Hall will oversee the Textron businesses that manufacture and market branded industrial products worldwide, including E-Z-GO, Jacobsen, Greenlee and Kautex. He will continue his role as the president of Greenlee.

Shermco names Burns account manager

Shermco Industries, a Dallas-based motor and distribution system service provider, has promoted Marc Burns to account manager.

A graduate of Texas A&M University and Texas State Technical College, Burns has been with Shermco Industries for the past three years. In the new position, he will be responsible for business development with electrical contractors and consulting engineering groups.

Two new sales reps at Allied Wire & Cable

Allied Wire & Cable, Collegeville, Pa., announced Lori Paczewski and Kim Morrison as the newest sales representatives for the company.

Paczewski is in the Collegeville, Pa., headquarters location. She graduated in 2006 from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and began working in sales soon after, as a sales representative at Nutrisystem, Inc.

Morrison joined the Merrimack, N.H., branch location. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Clark University in 1998. One year later, she completed her paralegal certification at Northeastern University. While she is new to the wire and cable industry, Kim has extensive business experience after owning a financial services company with her husband and working in sales and insurance and investment brokerage.
