Envoy Lighting (Philadelphia): Tricia Smith has joined the company as director of inside sales. She has more than 15-years of inside sales experience in commercial and industrial lighting products with lighting manufacturer Simkar Corp. and electrical distributors Colonial Electric Supply and Cooper Electric/Sonepar. She has a B.A. in education from West Chester University.

Halco appoints new Southeast Regional Sales Manager
Halco Lighting Technologies (Norcross, Ga.): Sharon Akins was promoted to Southeast regional sales manager and will report to David Hosea, V.P. of sales. Akins joined the Halco team in 2003, most recently served as account manager. She has more than 23 years of experience in sales/customer service. In her new position, she will be overseeing the sales, training and traveling with independent agencies servicing lighting and electrical distributors in seven Southeastern states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina and Tennessee.
Ilsco announces personnel promotions
Ilsco (Cincinnati): The company recently made two personnel announcements. MaryJo Heffernan, a 15-year company veteran, will take on new responsibilities in her role as manager, distributor services, a position she has held for the majority of her tenure with ILSCO. In addition to her existing responsibilities of managing the customer service department, her expanded responsibilities now include overseeing the quotations department, providing forecasting input and the administration of regional distribution centers in conjunction with ILSCO operations.
In other news at Ilsco, Colleen Morgan has been promoted to quotations analyst for Ilsco’s OEM division. She was hired as a customer service representative in that division in Oct. 2007. Prior to joining Ilsco, she was a partner in a family-owned business.
Robroy names new plant manager
Robroy Industries/Conduit Division (Gilmer, Texas): Darryl Tyson has been appointed plant manager. His most recent position was as a plant operations manager in Mesquite, Texas, where he was directly responsible for the operational and financial performance of the entire facility. Tyson has held prior positions as value stream manager, manufacturing manager and production manager.
Electric Board of Missouri & Illinois appoints Schaeffer as chairman for 2011-2012
Electrical Board of Missouri & Illinois (EBMI) (Fenton, Mo.): Mike Schaeffer, Schaeffer Marketing Group, will be EBMI’s chairman of the board for 2011-12. His fellow officers are John MacArthur, Frost Electric Supply; Greg Fowler, J.F. Electric; Keith Cooper, McClure Engineering; and past-chair Dave Schepers, Ameren.
Johnston to become Winwholesale president July 11
WinWholesale Inc. (Dayton, Ohio): Jack Johnston will become president July 11. Formerly CFO, he has been with the company for 34 years. Johnston succeeds Richard Schwartz, who will remain CEO and chairman of the board. Johnston started as an accountant with the organization in 1977 and became CFO in 2005. Schwartz has been with WinWholesale since 1971. He became president, CEO and chairman of the board in 1998.
United Electric Supply announces management promotions and changes
United Electric Supply Co. Inc. (New Castle, Del.): The company has made the following key management appointments. Rick Freebery has been named V.P. of vendor and new services development and will be responsible for vendor planning, charging for unique services, margin improvement and managing the company’s IMARK relationship, and Pat Melvin has been named V.P. of sales – Delaware Valley Region, with responsibility for Wilmington, Del., Lancaster, Hanover, Langhorne, and Huntington Valley, Pa.; and Vineland, N.J. The regional management changes are as follows: Mike Deneault has been named sales manager for the Chesapeake and Greater Baltimore Districts effective Jan. 1, 2012; Mike Caloway, currently regional operations manager for the Delmarva Peninsula, is now also district sales manager – Delmarva Peninsula; Don Edwards has been named regional operations manager for Rockville, Baltimore, and Aberdeen, Md.; Pat McFarland has been named regional operations manager for Wilmington, Lancaster and Hanover; and Chris Lind has been named regional operations manager for Waldorf and Beltsville, Md., and Alexandria, Va.
ILSCO hires Middleton as product manager
Ilsco (Cincinnati): Janice Middleton has been hired as product manager for the company’s mechanical connector product offering. She comes to ILSCO from LSI Industries where she was a product manager for architectural indoor lighting. Middleton has extensive experience in customer service and product management in the lighting industry.
Crescent appoints two execs to board of directors
Crescent Electric Supply Co. (East Dubuque, IL): The company has appointed two industry executives to it s board of directors: Jerry Whitaker most recently president, Electrical Sector (Americas) at Eaton Corp., and Scott Pollei, who currently serves as executive V.P. and COO of The Dolan Co.
Treadway joins MaxLite as product marketing manager
MaxLite (West Caldwell, N.J.): Pat Treadway has been appointed product marketing manager for MaxLite. For the past five years, he has been in product management for outdoor lighting, Energy Star, and residential lighting products. Previously, Treadway was principal at Design Point, a consulting firm in the sports and construction industries. He has also held a number of design and management positions in the recreation vehicle industry and has 30 years of experience in product management, product design and product development.
