NLB re-elects Lewis as chairman
National Lighting Bureau (NLB): Silver Spring, Md.: Howard Lewis, representing the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES), has been re-elected chair of the National Lighting Bureau. Also re-elected to Bureau offices were Vice Chair Cary Mendelsohn (Imperial Lighting Maintenance Co.), representing the International Association of Lighting Management Companies (NALMCO), and Secretary/Treasurer James Yorgey, technical applications manager for Bureau Sponsor Lutron Electronics Co. Inc. Lewis is the president of Lighting Alternatives, a fluorescent fixture manufacturer headquartered in Cherry Hill, N.J. Long-active in IES activities, Mr. Lewis recently completed his third, nonconsecutive term as president of the IES Philadelphia Section. Before establishing Lighting Alternatives in 2003, Mr. Lewis spent more than 30 years in lighting, with an emphasis on product manufacturing. He holds B.S. degree from Franklin Pierce University. NLB is an independent, not-for-profit, lighting-education organization sponsored by professional societies, trade associations, manufacturers, utilities, and agencies of the U.S. government.
Rockwell Automation names senior execs to new posts
Rockwell Automation (Milwaukee): Blake Moret is being promoted to senior vice president of the Control Products and Solutions (CP&S) segment and Frank Kulaszewicz is being promoted to senior vice president of the Architecture and Software (A&S) segment. Both positions will report to Keith Nosbusch, chairman and CEO of Rockwell Automation. For the last three years, Kulaszewicz has served as vice president and general manager, Control and Visualization Business within A&S. He has worked at Rockwell Automation for over 25 years and has held several key leadership roles in the drive systems and standard drives businesses. Since late 2007, Moret has served as vice president and general manager, Customer Support and Maintenance in CP&S. He has broad global experience working across the company in sales, services and product groups for over 25 years. He also brings a global mindset to the senior leadership team, having served in roles in Europe and Canada
Rockwell made two other appointments. Steve Eisenbrown is now senior vice president, Strategic Development, responsible for global business development, alignment of strategic investments and initiatives as well as the company’s multi-year global business process transformation project, and Bob Ruff, most recently senior vice president, CP&S, is president of the company’s Asia-Pacific Region. This is one of the fastest growing regions of the company with approximately 30 percent sales growth in fiscal 2010.
Graybar Names Andy Ciccone Tampa District Vice President
Graybar Electric Co. (St Louis): Andy Ciccone is now district vice president for the company’s Tampa district, effective April 1. In total, the Tampa district includes 20 locations and nearly 500 employees. Ciccone started his career with Graybar in 1992 and advanced through several customer service, sales and management roles, most recently serving as director of electrical sales in Graybar’s Richmond district. He holds a B.S. business administration degree in marketing from Texas A&M University and is a graduate of the Rutgers-Graybar Supply Chain Management Program.
Fulham appoints new national sales manager
Fulham Co, Inc. (Hawthorne, Calif.): Robert Adams is now national sales manager for emergency lighting products, including the FireHorse Emergency Lighting Systems and FireHorse Emergency Exit Systems. Adams joins Fulham with over 15 years of management experience and more than 10 years of electrical distribution experience, including positions with City Electric Supply and CED.
Nelson Joins Generac Power Systems as V.P. of Marketing
Generac Power Systems Inc. (Waukesha, Wis.): Duane Nelson has joined the company as V.P. of marketing. In his new role, Nelson will be responsible for leading Generac’s global marketing strategy, including branding, market research and marketing communications across all channels. Nelson brings 18 years of marketing expertise to Generac, most recently serving as director of global brand management with Case IH, a manufacturer of agricultural equipment business. He has also served on the board of directors of Growth Energy, a group supporting the use of enthanol, and worked for Bombardier Recreational Products and several marketing agencies. Nelson holds bachelor’s degrees in finance and economics from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and an M.B.A. from Marquette University.
Steger Promoted to President of Richmond’s Eck Supply
Eck Supply Co. (Richmond, Va.): Keith Steger, formerly executive V.P. and director of corporate operations, was promoted to president, effective Jan. 3. He started with Eck Supply in 1977 and has been promoted to management positions of increasing authority since then.
Nora Lighting Appoints Boughton National Accounts Sales Manager
Nora Lighting (Commerce, Calif.): Doug Boughton has joined the company as national accounts sales manager. Boughton, who brings more than 30 years of lighting experience to the position, will work with Nora national account distributors and customers nationwide. He worked with Hubbell Lighting for more than nine years as a national accounts sales manager and was also previously affiliated with a major lighting rep agency in Philadelphia.
Graybar Announce Exec Appointments
Graybar Electric Co. (St. Louis, Mo.): Bob Siegel is now V.P., product management. This appointment follows the recent retirement of Bruce Judkins as V.P., electrical. Siegel has been with Graybar for nearly 27 years, including positions in customer service, sales, purchasing, information technology and product management, most recently serving as a senior national product manager at Graybar’s corporate headquarters.
The company is also expanding the roles of two current executives. Bill Mansfield, formerly V.P., industrial, will now serve as V.P., industrial and commercial. Steve Stone, formerly V.P., comm/data, has been named V.P., electrical construction and comm/data, which includes all comm/data and utility customers.
Crum to Serve as NAED’s Western Region V.P. in 2012-2013
National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) (St.
Louis): David M. Crum, vice president of sales and marketing, Crum Electric Supply Company Inc., Casper, Wyo., has been elected as the incoming Western Region vice president-elect to serve as vice president for 2012-2013. Crum has been in the industry for 14 years and has served on NAED’s Western Region Council since 2004. He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming, with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a M.S. in Finance.
